1. Make sure your environment is comfortable and calming. This may include dimming the lights, burning incense or candles, and playing relaxing music.

2. Get into a comfortable position. This may be lying down on your back, sitting in a reclined position, or standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides.

3. Simply close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing when you feel at ease. Breathe in and out slowly and deeply, letting your stomach rise and fall with each breath.

4. If your mind wanders, simply refocus on your breath. Don't worry about clearing your mind completely, just let whatever thoughts come and go without attaching to them.

5. Continue breathing deeply and slowly for 5-10 minutes, or longer if you like. When you're finished, slowly open your eyes and take a deep relaxing breath.
