John Wick director Chad Stahelski has revealed Lance Reddick's excitement for the fourth installment of the "John Wick" film series.

Reddick understood the importance of his character's death to the overall plot of the movie, according to Stahelski.

"He understood how important that was to the overall movie that starts the whole journey for Winston and how it triggers the friendships and all the dilemmas," said Stahelski during the recent IGN special screening

"One of the best things he ever said to me after he saw it was like, 'I'm very proud of what we did. Thank god we made those decisions and we didn't back out,' " he stated.

Keanu Reeves, who plays the role of John Wick, added that Reddick was "a beautiful man, wonderful artist."

John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently running in theatres successfully. The franchise's fourth movie gives a beautiful tribute to Lance Reddick in the after-credits and post-credits scenes.
