Messi will miss PSG's UCL match against Benfica on Tuesday night due to a minor leg injury.
The news was confirmed officially by the PSG's official media release on Monday, Neymar and Mbappe are back in squad.
The official club statement read: " Nursing a calf niggle, Lionel Messi will not make the game against Benfica."
PSG and Benfica are level on points in their UCL points table, unbeaten in all three games so far.
Lionel Messi reportedly felt discomfort in his leg in PSG's last week UCL encounter vs Benfica that ended 1-1.
Messi has been in fine form this season for PSG with 7 goals and 8 assists in just 12 games.
In Messi's absence, PSG will look to Neymar and Mbappe to provide the attacking spark in final third vs Benfica.
