Maria Thattil recently made a big confirmation: she is in a relationship for the first time after coming out as bisexual! In an exclusive interview with Stellar Magazine, the former Miss Universe Australia, 29, discussed her relationship with Jorgia O'Hare, 29.
She also stated that as a teenager, she wished she had seen more interracial same-sex relationships in the media. Maria's relationship with Jorgia, a Melbourne mental health expert, is uplifting and a wonderful reminder that love knows no bounds.
Fans had speculated that the two are in a romantic relationship after noticing them exchanging seductive messages online! Photos on Jorgee's Instagram account of the two looking rather cosy together have just added fuel to the flames.
Plus, it's no secret that Jorgee is a lesbian, as she frequently posts on TikTok with the hashtag #LesbiansofTikTok! Last January, Maria made a bold move and publicly came out as bisexual while competing on Channel 10's I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!
Maria made a brave and inspiring announcement in April, declaring that she was no longer afraid of dating women in public, a fear she previously admitted to having.
She was quoted as saying, “I’m no longer scared of the narrative being taken out of my hands. I’ve been dating casually for about a year, some men and some women, and I don’t care anymore who sees or what they say.”
