Succession Final Season Draws Record Viewership for Season 4 Premiere

The latest episode of the hit TV show Succession, which premiered on Sunday across both HBO Max and linear telecasts, attracted a record-breaking audience of 2.3 million viewers.

According to DEADLINE, this marks the highest number of same-day viewers the show has ever had.

This is a 62% increase in viewership from the Season 3 premiere which had 1.4 million viewers back in October 2021.

The new season sees the continuation of the Roy family saga, with the potential sale of Waystar Royco to tech mogul Lukas Matsson causing tension and division among the family members.

Succession has received widespread critical acclaim and has won a total of 13 Emmys, including Best Drama Series for Seasons 2 and 3.

In the week leading up to the Season 4 premiere, the viewership numbers for all previous seasons also massively increased.

New episodes of 'Succession'Season 4 air every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO Max. The show is expected to break more viewing records as new episodes drop every week.
