US Women's National Soccer team earned more from US Men's National Team reaching World Cup last-16 than winning the Women's World Cup Twice in 2015 and 2019

USA women will get a split share from $13m earned by USA men national team as they have qualified for the Qatar World Cup last-16.

USA will receive $6.5m from the total $13m as per the Equal Pay Agreement which was signed earlier this year.

If USA men's football team wins against the Netherlands in round 16, the USA women will further receive a $8.5m share from World Cup prize money.

However, even if USA don't win, US women's national soccer team has already earned more money than their prize money by winning the last FIFA Women's World Cup.

USWNT won the FIFA Women's Football World Cup back to back in 2015 and 2019.

The prize money for 2015 title was $2m and $4m in 2019, making it a total of $6m, which is less than the split share of $6.5m.

It is worth mentioning that the total prize money for the 2019 Women's WC was $30m, while Qatar WC prize money is $440m, a staggering 14 times more.
