‘Anyone But You’ Tops 2023 Releases with Massive Box Office Run, Valentine Day Edition to Add Bonus Content

Sony’s R-rated romcom “Anyone But You” starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney has now seen a remarkable 12x multiplier at the US box office after grosses a solid $575k on 6th Tuesday Discount Day.

The R-rated film is showing spectacular box office legs, dropping only 15.8% from the previous weekend as it hits a cumulative gross of $72 million in the US, marking the biggest multiplier for any 2023 release.

The film had released on December 22, 2023, counting itself in last year’s releases.

The film is projected to reach $85 million or more in the US, a profitable venture considering the reported cost of $25 million to produce.

The film’s worldwide gross stands at $127 million.

Released in the US on December 22, 2023, with a runtime of 1 hour and 43 minutes, the plot is apparently based on William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.”

Story revolves around Bea and Ben, whose initial attraction turns sour but pretend to be the perfect couple at a destination wedding.

Looking at the exceptional continued run at the box office, the makers have announced a Valentine’s Day Edition of ‘Anyone But You’ with new content added, extending the runtime to 1 hour and 47 minutes.

So that means the movie will be in a good numbers of theaters on the 2nd week of February, likely reaching $85-90 million by Valentine’s Day, which could give it a shoot at reaching the $100 million mark at the US Box Office, and $150 million run at the global box office, becoming a hugely profitable production for Sony Pictures.
