Sony’s R-rated romantic comedy “Anyone But You” starring Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney is still going well at the US box office, grossing a solid $380k on its 6th Monday.
It experienced a modest decrease of 20% from the previous Monday, surpassing “The Lost City” which grossed $311k with a smaller drop of in the range of 10%.
“Anyone But You” has achieved a cumulative gross of $71.4 million in the US, almost a 12x multiplier, the highest for any 2023 release.
It appears likely to reach $85 million or more in total gross at the domestic market looking at the current trending.
“Wonka,” the musical hit starring Timothée Chalamet, is also performing well, grossing $330k on its 7th Monday.
It experienced a drop of only 22.9% from the previous Monday.
With a cumulative gross of $195.26 million in the US, “Wonka” is poised to cross the $200 million mark next weekend and is expected to achieve a final domestic run of over $210 million.
Meanwhile, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”, despite losing 305 theaters on Friday, it only dropped 35.3% from the previous Monday, grossing $175k on its 6th Monday.
With a cumulative gross of $118.18 million in the US, it aims for a final domestic run of $125 million.
