In yet another triumph for Indian cinema, the action thriller ‘Animal’ made a resounding impact at the US box office, raking in an impressive $6.1 million during its three-day opening weekend, including Thursday previews.
The film, distributed across just 697 theaters, proved its mettle by securing the #5 spot for the biggest opening of all time for Indian films in the US.

Animal Set to Pass Monday Test at Domestic Market
The film has already sold over 1.75 lakh tickets in three major national chains—PVR Inox, and Cinepolis—for Monday, as per official data from trade.
Projections indicate that the Ranbir Kapoor starrer is poised to collect over Rs 30 crore on Day 4, reaching a staggering Rs 170 crore Nett. collection in Hindi alone within the first four days including the weekend.
This achievement is all the more remarkable considering the intense competition at the box office as film has clashed with Vicky Kaushal’s “Sam Bahadurr”.
‘Animal’ has certainly set itself on the path to blockbuster success, evident from extraordinary advance bookings for Monday across national chains.

‘Animal’ has registered the fifth-highest single-day total for a Bollywood film at approximately ₹63 crore on its first Sunday. The other four spots are taken by Shah Rukh Khan all by himself with his blockbuster 2023 releases, ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’.
Ranbir Kapoor’s star power is now undeniable as ‘Animal’ crosses the 200 crore net weekend mark across all languages in just three days at the India market.
With an approximate total of 202 crore all over India, it now stands as the second-highest grosser after ‘Jawan,’ which amassed 206 crore net domestically.
