Rinku Singh of Kolkata Knight Riders created history in Indian Premier League in a match against Gujarat Titans as he hit 5 sixes in last 5 balls of the match to cruise his team to victory.
The chase looked done and dusted in favor of Gujarat Titans when their star player Rashid Khan, who was captain of the side in absence of Hardik Pandya, took a hattrick in the 16th over of the match, sending Dre Russ, Narine and Thakur back to dug-out.
However, the left-hander Rinku Singh had other plans as he hit a six and four last two balls of second last over to take the chase to 29 runs required in last 6 balls.
Umesh Yadav’s first ball single meant Rinku Singh had the almost-impossible task of hitting 5 sixes in next 5 remaining balls to get past the required 28 runs of Yash Dayal’s over.
And he just did that. Rinku Singh created history. Not only in IPL or T20, this has never happened in any form of professional Cricket history. No one has hit 5 sixes in a row to win a game, ever.

The podcasters chose the Titans vs Knight Riders to watch-along. They live commentated the whole 3 and half hours match on ‘The Grade Cricketer’.
At the start of the final over, when KKR needed 28 runs off 5 balls, which was only possible with 5 sixes, one of them says, “I will tattoo my pen*s if he (Rinku Singh) hits 5 sixes.”
And to his surprise and total disbelief, Rinku hit every next ball out of the boundary park as he raced to match-winning knock of 48* off 21 balls.
One of the live viewers demanded the tattoo session to be live streamed as well. Reading that message, the live hosts were seen uncontrollable with their laughing.
