Cristiano Ronaldo to play for Saudi club Al Nassr for €200m per year – MARCA

According to popular Spanish media outlet, MARCA, Cristiano Ronaldo has signed a deal with the Saudi club Al-Nassr and will play for them January 1st 2023.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who is currently with the Portugal national team in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup 2022, is a free agent after he and Manchester United mutually agreed to terminate his contract.

Ronaldo had a massive fall-out with Man United board and manager, Erik Ten Hag, and he openly criticised the affairs at the Manchester club with a shocking interview with TV host Piers Morgan. It became clear, after that bombshell interview, that Cristiano’s chapter at Man United will come to an end soon.

In the same interview, Ronaldo had confirmed that he had rejected a $350m offer from a Saudi club in the summer. Cristiano Ronaldo had claimed that the money is not a thing of concern for him.

However, as per latest report from MARCA, Ronaldo has agreed to play for Al Nassr with a massive deal of €200m per year. The deal will last for 2 and half seasons.

It will be interesting to see if Ronaldo has indeed given his nod for the deal. This deal will make him the highest paid footballer in the world. Cristiano is 37 years old and will turn 40 by the time his supposed contract with Al-Nassr will come to an end.

It is worth mentioning that Cristiano has shared to his fans about his desire to play till he is 40 years old.

Meanwhile, the popular Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, confirming that Al-Nassr has indeed put forward the massive contract on Cristiano’s table, has shared via Twitter that Cristiano is currently focused on the World Cup and has not signed or confirmed anything in relation to Al-Nassr’s contract proposal.

Fabrizio Romano confirms the deal but says Ronaldo has not signed anything yet.
