Watch: Eden Hazard’s Heartwarming Reaction When He Learns That He is Going to Play

Real Madrid enjoyed a comfortable scoring form post latest international break as they try to cut the gap at the top of La Liga table with their 6-0 win over Real Valladolid.

Karim Benzema scored a seven-minute hat-trick as fans on Twitter celebrated the fact that “Ramadan Karim” is back to being his most lethal form. Rodrygo had a great game partnering Benzema and Vini Jr in the final third for Real Madrid as he scored the 4th goal of the match, also providing two assists.

In the second half, Asensio and Lucas scored to give the Bernabue crowd a 6-0 win to celebrate. The inclusion of Rodrygo and Asensio in the starting XI by Carlo Ancelotti provides a potential solution to Madrid’s scoring issues.

However, one of the key highlight of the game was the surprise return of Eden Hazard in some football action for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, as he made his first La Liga appearance in seven months.

Hazard replaced the hat-trick scorer Karim Benzema in the 64th minute of the game.

Hazard came at the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019 as one of the most lethal wide attackers in the world, and with a price tag of in excess of $100m, but has only scored seven goals for Real Madrid in four seasons. Despite the tough times at Madrid, Hazard is keen to stay at the club and fight for his place.

Now a smile clip has emerged on Twitter that shows the exact moment when Eden Hazard gets the call to come on as a Carlo substitute.

Hazard is seen putting on a big smile as he visibly seems so surprised to be called on for some action on the field since September last year.

Here is the video clip showing Hazard’s reaction:

Hazard’s return was relatively good for his confidence as he created multiple chances before assisting the Madrid’s 6th goal scored by Lucas Vazquez.

This win, however, places little pressure on Barcelona, as Madrid is still 12 points behind their archrivals with 11 games remaining in La Liga 22/23 season.

Real Madrid next face Barcelona in their Copa del Rey second leg clash. Barcelona have a 1-0 advantage over the Los Blancos from the first leg.
