Joao Felix says he is unaware of Man United interest

Reportedly Manchester United were interested in bringing the Portuguese international to play under the new manager Erik Ten Hag.

However, Joao Felix has stated in a interview that he has not been told of any interest arising from Man United by the Atletico Madrid board.

The talented Joao Felix, who arrived at Atletico Madrid with a big price tag of over $120 millions, has not lived to the desired expectation at the club. He has been in transfer news for quite some time now most recently being linked to a move to the lucrative English Premier League.

Man United have gone 5 years without a trophy and are desperately looking to change things up for the new season 2022/23.

Erik Ten Hag has been given the charge to lead the team. The board has backed the new manager with some big name signings like Casemiro and Antony.

Meanwhile, the long-standing coach of Atletico Madrid, Diego Simeone remains very confident about the rise of Felix under his coaching. He believes he is going to be a key performer for the club from this season on.

Reportedly, Atletico rejected a bid of around $110 millions from Man United board who then signed Antony, the Brazilian international and former Ajax player under Ten Hag.

The Antony and Ten Hag reunion at Old Trafford happened with Man United paying a near $100m transfer fee to strengthen the right wing position.

Joao Felix reportedly clarified his stance on Man United transfer interest in an interview with Spanish mainstream Newspaper Marca.

“I did not hear anything,… so that is something for the (Atletcio Madrid) president to deal with,” He told Marca.
