In a much-anticipated Bollywood collaboration, Shah Rukh Khan and renowned filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani are all set to grace the big screen with their social comedy film “Dunki.”
The film marks the first-ever partnership between the two of the industry’s biggest names, and fans can hardly contain their excitement.
The official release date for “Dunki” has been confirmed (once again) – it’s set to make its mark in international markets on December 21, 2023. The movie is set to open in theatres in the international market on Thursday targeting an extended weekend leading to Christmas Day on the 25th.
It has been previously announced by Red Chillies Entertainment that the film will be released in the domestic market on 22nd December, a day later from the overseas release. However, industry insiders are murmuring that the SRK-Hirani combo might also arrive on the 21st of December to cash on word of mouth factor against the Prabhas-led ‘Salaar’ which has announced a clash with the film on the 22nd.
The official latest poster was shared by an overseas distributor of the film. The poster shows SRK embarking on a journey with his shoulder bag and water bottle with the tagline “𝐀 𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐈𝐄𝐑’𝐒 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐊𝐄𝐄𝐏 𝐀 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐄”.
The poster depicts a background map that shows SRK’s journey through different countries starting from the United Kingdom to India.
The arrow pointing out the overall journey of SRK’s character also points through Pakistan as he goes through the route from Iran-Afghanistan-Pakistan to India.
The film is set to be high on emotion and comedy as previously seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s films like PK, 3 Idiots, and Munna Bhai series.
While the overseas release is now confirmed for December 21, 2023, fans in India won’t have to wait much longer, as the film will hit theaters on December 22, 2023.
The film’s leading man, Shah Rukh Khan looks to play the role of an ex-army man in “Dunki”, looking at the details on the poster. He is joined by Taapsee Pannu as the leading lady of the film.
The film is poised to take the audience on an unforgettable journey of emotions, humor, and life lessons – a trademark of Rajkumar Hirani’s masterful storytelling.
