House of the Dragon Star Milly Alcock Becomes the Supergirl in DC Universe

Milly Alcock, known for her role in House of the Dragon, has been cast as Supergirl in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe.

She will first appear in a DC project, possibly Superman: Legacy, before starring in her own feature film titled Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, based on Tom King’s comic book series.

James Gunn, confirming the news on social media, expressed excitement about Alcock joining the DCU, praising her talent and audition process.

Alcock herself shared her enthusiasm on Instagram after the announcement.

This casting decision comes after speculation and reports about actresses being tested for the role, with Alcock ultimately winning the part over contenders like Emilia Jones and Meg Donnelly.

So, Milly Alcock is set to become the new Supergirl in the DC Universe, debuting in a yet-to-be-confirmed DC project before leading her own standalone film.

And now it’s official, David Corenswet & Milly Alcock are our new Superman and Supergirl of the DC Universe.
