Netflix Top 10: ‘The Night Agent’ Takes the Top Spot with Record-Breaking Premiere Week, Dethroning ‘You’ Season 4

Netflix’s new spy thriller “The Night Agent” has taken top spot in Netflix’s global chart. The series debuted at #1 on the English TV List with a whopping 168.71 million hours viewed, following its premiere on March 23.

This marks the third-best premiere week of viewing for a first season of any Netflix Original ever.

The show follows a low-level FBI agent who’s tasked with manning a phone that never rings in the basement of the White House, until it does. This call plunges him into a deadly conspiracy that involves a mole at the White House.

The series boasts an all-star cast, including Gabriel Basso, Luciane Buchanan, Hong Chau, Sarah Desjardins, Fola Evans-Akingbola, Eve Harlow, Enrique Murciano, Phoenix Raei, and DB Woodside.

“The Night Agent” has overtaken “You” Season 4 for the #1 spot on the English TV List and is currently the streamer’s most viewed title this week.

The series has appeared in the Top 10 in 93 countries as per official Netflix data.

All 10 episodes of “The Night Agent” are currently streaming on Netflix globally and it is expected that dominance in viewership will continue for some time.

The show has already achieved huge success, ranking second overall for the biggest debuts for a Netflix series in 2023 based on hours viewed.

The top spot goes to “Ginny & Georgia” Season 2, with 180.47M hours viewed, followed by “The Night Agent” and “Outer Banks” Season 3, with 154.97M hours viewed.

The show is created by Shawn Ryan (known for The Shield (2002), S.W.A.T. (2017)) and it is based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, “The Night Agent” is the latest binge-worthy thriller from Netflix.
