Lionel Messi, the Argentine football superstar, has reportedly left PSG’s Tuesday training session in a rather surprising and unexpected turn of events. The reason for his premature exit has been attributed to a disagreement with coach Galtier over the proposed playing plans, as per a source.
Messi was evidently not happy with Galtier’s training drills and left the training center despite the coach’s attempts to convince him otherwise.
Hours after the news of training session altercation started trending on social media, Messi’s father and agent, Jorge Messi, took to Instagram to deny the recent news reports surrounding his son, also addressing the Messi’s PSG contract situation.
He labeled the reports of Messi leaving the training session due to problems with Galtier, PSG not accepting Messi’s conditions for a new deal, and Messi demanding a whopping €600m salary from Al Hilal as fake news. Jorge Messi called these reports fake on his Instagram stories also stating, “Fake news — don’t trust them, we will not accept lies anymore”.
Meanwhile, renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that PSG has already presented Messi with a contract extension proposal. Messi did not ask for the same salary as other players, indicating that money is not the issue. However, he wants to understand PSG’s project before making any commitments.
