The first season finale of “The Recruit” stunned viewers when late entrant Karolina (Maddie Hasson) shot Max Meladze (Laura Haddock), apparently her own mother. Is Max still alive? What is Karolina’s story here? What lies ahead for Owen Hendricks?
We are glad to learn that there is now a confirmed upcoming second season that promises to provide answers to the lingering questions.
Both the cast and the executive team, including Noah Centineo, who plays Owen, are excited to return and continue the story.
The first season of the thriller on Netflix tells the story of “a rookie lawyer at the CIA stumbles headlong into the dangerous world of international espionage when a former asset threatens to expose agency secrets“.
As the showrunner, Alexi Hawley, prepares to return to the world of “The Recruit,” he expresses his excitement to the audience, telling Netflix Tudum,
“I’m thrilled to dive back into the fun, funny, action-packed world of The Recruit.” I can’t wait to turn it all up to 11 in Season 2.”
Looking at these quotes, we are sure the new season is going to be even more exciting, with more action and intrigue. We hope to see that creators explore Owen’s fun side a bit more as well.
“I know I speak for our entire cast and executive team at eOne and Netflix when I say that we’re thrilled to be returning to The Recruit for a second season.” Noah Centineo shares his excitement with Netflix Tudum.
“I’m looking forward to seeing what Alexi Hawley has in store for us all.”Says Noah.
Lead actor Noah Centineo will reprise his role as Owen and will also serve as an executive producer for the second season, alongside Hawley. News about the plot, cast and filming of the series are not yet disclosed. We can expect a late 2024 release at least. The first season had released on 16 December, 2022.
With anticipation already building for the second season of “The Recruit” audiences can expect an even more thrilling and exciting experience.
