The first reviews of the original Apple TV Plus comedy-drama series 'Shrinking' are out. Jason Segal and Harrison Ford starrer premiers this Friday.
Nate Richard for Collider writes in his review, "(Shrinking) may end up being one of the most authentic new comedies of the year."
Nicole Gallucci of Decider calls the comedy series "another winner for 'Ted Lasso' team" claiming Ford's performance will be "most rewarding, surprise for viewers."
Screen Rant call 'Shrinking' engaging and heartwarming as it "recognizes the importance of human connection and handles the varying degrees of loss with genuine warmth, charm, and wit."
Alan Sepinwall of RollingStone says the show is "a shaggy but endearing dramedy with some utterly fantastic comic supporting work by Harrison Ford".
Variety writes that "Ford seems poorly used and out-of-place in this comic milieu" while "Segal is more at sea. An open-hearted performer whose emotional palette is big, bold and easy to read".
Coming on the 27th of January, 'Shrinking' has 10 episodes of which 9 were screened for critics to review.
The cast of the series includes Jason Segal, Harrison Ford, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Christa Miller, and Lukita Maxwell.
