Harry Styles Wins Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Harry’s House' at Grammys 2023

Harry Styles, former member of One Direction, won the prestigious Album of the Year award for his third solo album "Harry’s House."

He was nominated along with artists Bad Bunny (Un Verano Sin Ti), Kendrick Lamar (Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers), Adele (30), Lizzo (Special), ABBA (Voyage), 

Beyoncé (Renaissance), Mary J. Blige (Good Morning Gorgeous), Brandi Carlile (In These Silent Days), and Coldplay (Music of the Spheres).

It has been thirty years since a British male soloist was awarded the Album of the Year at the GRAMMYs. 

The last time winner being Eric Clapton for his album 'Unplugged' in 1993. This year, Harry Styles became the first British male soloist to win this honour since then.

Styles was nominated for other awards; Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Music Video for his song "As It Was."

Harry Styles performed "As It Was" during the ceremony. He also won the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Harry's House'.

Styles has been making waves in the music industry since his self-titled debut solo album in 2017 and Fine Line in 2019.

He recently released music videos for "Late Night Talking" and "Music for a Sushi Restaurant" and also appeared in the film "Don’t Worry Darling."

“I think on nights like tonight it’s important for us to remember there is no such thing as ‘best’ in music,” Harry said in his speech,

“I don’t think any of us sit in the studio making decisions on what is going to get us one of these.” He added.
