Messi's penalty was saved by Poland's goalkeeper, Szczesny, as many called it justice as they felt it was not a penalty in the first place.

This was Szczesny's second penalty save in the Qatar World Cup. While, this was second World Cup penalty miss by Messi, second player ever after Ghana's Asamoah Gyan (1966) to miss twice.
