Spain also missed their second penalty, taken by Carlos Soler. Morocco's goalie, Bono, successfully saved the 3rd Spain penalty by Sergio Busquets.

For Morocco, Al Sabiri scored the first penalty followed by Chelsea's Hakim Ziyech's thumping finish in the middle of Unai Simon's goalpost.

Although Badr Benoun saw his penalty saved by Simon, Achraf Hakimi placed a perfect Panenka penalty sending Morocco to the next round of the World Cup and dumping Spain out of it.
