Washington state resident becomes the latest Powerball millionaire, winning a massive $747 million jackpot in the game's first win since November 2022.
The numbers drawn were 5, 11, 22, 23, 69 and the Powerball number was 7. The Powerball website stated that the jackpot was won in Washington, and the next drawing on Thursday has a $20 million prize.
This is the first Powerball jackpot win since November 19, 2022 and ranks as the ninth largest in American history.
The winner has the option to either receive the jackpot in annual payments over 29 years or to take the lump sum cash value of $403.1 million.
Despite the low odds of winning, at 1 in 292.2 million, players continue to play. In January, a player from Maine won a $1.35 billion Mega Millions prize,
and in November, a player from California hit a record-breaking $2.04 billion Powerball jackpot. Both of these prizes remain unclaimed.
Powerball is available to play in 45 states, including Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Don't miss your chance to become the next Powerball winner!
